Bourne, Massachusetts

All visitors will pass through Bourne, Massachusetts when entering Barnstable County. This quiet community goes without the continual summer tourist blasts, unlike some close communities experience. If you are passing through or staying for a visit, check out the Bourne Scenic Park! This park was established in 1951 and is located along the Cape Cod Canal. There are numerous quiet harbors and areas for boating and swimming, and the fishing and shellfishing in the area are abundant! National Marine Life Center is also located in Bourne. This rehabilitation and release hospital treats stranded sea turtles and sales, with great hopes of expanding to treat dolphins, porpoises, and small whales! Concerts can be enjoyed weekly during the summer, and the July 4th parade is a sight you would not want to miss!
